Spine reads ' September [illegible] to September 1748'.
Front cover reads 'Court Book 7th Sept 1742 to Sept 27th 1748 see Court Book K'.
On front endpapers is written in a modern hand 'See vol K of Court Book. Apparently used by the Clerk & copied into the Court Book with much left out. March 2 1744 says (f 248) 'Poor paid according to custom' here names of poor are given. More information in here than in Court Book K' and on the opposite page 'Freemen 4.6 Apprentices 5.- Turnover 2.6'.
At back of volume are upside-down folios containing accounts:
folios 1r-2r: 'The Clerk's Fees as Settled 10th February 1730' [or 1740]. Subheadings are 'On Account of the Corporation' and 'On Account of the English Stock'.
