Many different expenses are recorded, including:
Company annuities; tithes paid to St Martin's Ludgate; charitable gifts paid to Christ's Hospital, St Faith's, St Mary at Hill, St Martin Vintry and St Martin Ludgate; books sent to Kemsey Manor; maintenance of a preacher at St Paul's; tradesmen's wages and expenses; dinner expenses; Beadle's expenses; salaries of staff, including the Clerk, bargemaster, hall keeper, scavenger, watchman and gardener; payment of land, window, orphan and new river water taxes; payment of rent; payments towards the militia; water charges for Lord Mayor's Day; and payments of interest owed by the Company to members.
