Correspondence relating to a range of subjects including William Alexander Jackson, exhibitions, historical research enquiries, the donation to the Company of a letter written by Charles Dickens, visits to Stationers' Hall, lectures by Hodgson, a bookseller's accounts at Somerset House, Hodgson's booklet on the history of the Company, the muniment room, a proposed history of the Company, Shakespeare's first folio and a John Graham painting of Mary, Queen of Scots; most letters date from 1938, 1951-1958 and 1960-1964.
