Records kept by the renter wardens, elected annually to keep quarterage records [to 1884, when quarterage was abolished], maintain up-to-date lists of company members and addresses and keep accounts for fines and stamp duty payments; volumes cover 1851-1853, 1863-1886, 1888-1890, 1920-1922, 1926-1928, 1934-1943 and 1954-1998.
The volumes contain:
volumes 1-5: extracts of resolutions regarding dinner invitations.
volumes 1-7: list of quarterage payments owed and paid by company members and widows, including names and addresses, with a contemporary index to livery and widows' quarterage inserted.
volumes 1-6: list of running quarterage receipt totals.
volumes 6-26: list of apprentices, their masters and sums of fees and stamp duty paid.
volumes 6-26: list of members present at court meetings.
volumes 8-24: list of names and addresses of company members; volume 24 contains a list for the yeomanry only.
