Items include bread and beer; wine; butter; oranges and lemons; dressing the fish; use of linen; paid the fishmonger; and fruit and cheese. An additional charge, "given to the house," has been added following an initial total. Additionally, a list of names appears in the left margin: Sawbridge, Norton, Macock, And. Clark, R. Clark. Two separate bills appear to be recorded; the first for 11 shillings six pence, the second for ten shillings six pence, for a total of one pound two shillings. Items include bread and beer; wine; bacon & eggs; coach hire; and going by water, as well as unspecified expenses. Verso: "Search & Seizure at Thomsons Sept. 24 1677." Itemised list of expenses incurred by Randall Taylor between 23 April and 05 July 1681. Items include going by water to Mr Rix(?) and Mr Gelliflower; paying the scavengers; sweeping the chimney; paying the woman for cleaning the courts and passages; spent "on Mr Davis, Mr Leigh, and my selfe att Astwoods Tryall;" and other charges. (vi) The mason’s bill for works done at Stationers’ Hall, 10 Jul 1676. Signed in receipt by Richard Crooke the sum of one pound fifteen shillings, 20 Feb 1678.
(vii) Bill of the beadle, Randall Taylor, in the sum of fifteen shillings six pence. Expenses include: cleaning the hall, spent at the custom house, with Mr Garrett, with Mr Briggs, a broom, travel to Whitehall, with Marlow and others. Signed in receipt, 2 Aug 1676.
(viii) Bill for labourers’ work done at Stationers’ Hall, Sep 1674-Oct 1676. Signed in receipt by Thomas Warren in the sum of ten pounds, 11 Jul 1678. With further expenses listed. [2 pieces]
(ix) Receipt of Henry Foord, carpenter, in the sum of 100 pounds due him or Robert Wapshott, bricklayer, for works on the Hall, 11 Aug 1677. With his seal. Witnessed by John Lilly and Randall Taylor.
(x) Bills for carpentry and brick work for building Stationers’ Hall. The carpenters’ bill is signed by John Lawrence and William Leybourn. The verso shows that payment was made in three instalments, received of George Sawbridge, Samuel Mearne, and Mearne’s widow, totalling 1125 pounds. c.1683.
