In front endpapers is inscribed a signed Commissioners of Duties' licence to the treasurer, requiring him to enter into the dividend books the numbers of receipts without required stamps and to produce these receipts for inspection, 13 Jun 1835; sections from Jun 1844 have pencil annotations changing the content to the section after.
