Minutes are unsigned; minutes are given for ordinary court meetings, special courts, court meetings for the election of corporation officers, courts for the election of master and wardens, pension courts, courts for the election of stockkeepers and treasurer and courts to distribute Mr Cater's charity.
Typical order of entries for ordinary court meetings is: place, date and time of court meeting; list of those present, consisting of the master, wardens and assistants; approval of the orders of court from the preceding ordinary court meeting; choosing of wardens and assistants; resolutions, including those relating to recommendations and reports of committees, applications to the company and correspondence; payment of, and election to, charitable annuities; administration of English Stock shares; names and personal details of those cloathed, made free of the company and bound or turned over as apprentices.
Spine reads 'Court Book 3 July 1849 to 22 December 1854' and 'X'.
On page 81 is recorded that the company accepted Mr Hall's offer to purchase the company's barge for £105, 9 Apr 1850.
