(i) Bill of William Leybourn for works done at Stationers’ Hall and on stationer houses, 16 June 1673. Signed in receipt on verso by Leybourn, in the sum of six pounds ten shillings received of Warden Thomas Vere.
(ii) Bill for iron and smith work done at Stationers’ Hall, 2 Nov 1674. With note that Mr Lucas to have eight pounds ten shillings in full.
(iii) Bill of William Leybourn and Mr Pollard for painting work at Stationers’ Hall, 8 Oct 1675.
(iv) Receipt of Robert Wapshott in the sum of 120 pounds, 5 Dec 1675. With his mark and seal. Witnessed by Henry Foord and Henry Garrett.
(v) Receipt of John Withers and John Saunders in the sum of 34 pounds for four banners, 11 Jan 1676.
(vi) The mason’s bill for works done at Stationers’ Hall, 10 Jul 1676. Signed in receipt by Richard Crooke the sum of one pound fifteen shillings, 20 Feb 1678.
(vii) Bill of the beadle, Randall Taylor, in the sum of fifteen shillings six pence. Expenses include: cleaning the hall, spent at the custom house, with Mr Garrett, with Mr Briggs, a broom, travel to Whitehall, with Marlow and others. Signed in receipt, 2 Aug 1676.
(viii) Bill for labourers’ work done at Stationers’ Hall, Sep 1674-Oct 1676. Signed in receipt by Thomas Warren in the sum of ten pounds, 11 Jul 1678. With further expenses listed. [2 pieces]
(ix) Receipt of Henry Foord, carpenter, in the sum of 100 pounds due him or Robert Wapshott, bricklayer, for works on the Hall, 11 Aug 1677. With his seal. Witnessed by John Lilly and Randall Taylor.
(x) Bills for carpentry and brick work for building Stationers’ Hall. The carpenters’ bill is signed by John Lawrence and William Leybourn. The verso shows that payment was made in three instalments, received of George Sawbridge, Samuel Mearne, and Mearne’s widow, totalling 1125 pounds. c.1683.
