The first hand lists expenses from 27 September-12 October, including 'given Mr Solicitor General for his opinion on one case', spent at Croydon at dinner', 'given the coachman to Croydon', 'spent that night at Queenshead', 'spent at the Three Tuns, Mr Mearne, Mr Scott, Mr Hills. &c', 'spent at the Green Dragon in Fleet Street, Mr Common Serjeant, the Attorney, Mr Mearne, Mr Hills, and self, waiting for Mr Solicitor and Mr Holt to meet, at Mr Solicitor's chamber'. The second hand is undated. Expenses include: 'sent by Mr Taylor to Mr Treasurer Miller', spent at the Three Tuns by Guildhall'. Personal names: Mr Mearne, Mr Scott, Mr Hills, Mr Taylor, Mr Miller. Place names: Croydon, the Queen's Head, the Three Tuns, the Green Dragon.
