In 1616, a committee of the Stationers Company was appointed to oversee the building of a new shop and warehouse for the Latin Stock on Amen Corner. An increase in the rent forced the Company to divide the property in an attempt to dispose of the lease, and the Latin Stock was re-housed in Old Change. (Blagden, The Stationers Company, p. 210)
