Account of income and expenses maintained by John Garrett, Company Clerk. Income includes: the rents of Mr Bolsworth and Mr Hackett; and entering 40 copies in the registers from the 22 of February to the 27 of June 1688. Expenses include money spent on a copy "at large" of the Hawkers their Mercury; for two Renter Wardens books; for his quarterly salary at Lady Day and Midsummer; for his year allowance for paper, pens, and ink; a fee for receiving Mr Bolsworth's and Mr Hackett's rents; money allowed to Mr Hackett for Trophy money; for glove money; and paid to Walter Davis for binding two old Register books of copies. Income totalled 28 pounds and expenses totalled 15 pounds five shillings plus six shillings for the register bindings, meaning Garrett paid the Under Warden the balance; 12 pounds eight shillings and six pence.
