Itemised lists of money due and received by the clerk, John Garret, March-July 1685. Items due Garret include: his salary, receiving rent, for the Renter Wardens' book, copy of the order for the presenting a livery, common cryer's fee, the order concerning dealers in books to be translated, copying over the Act of Parliament, stationary expenses, glove money. Items received of Garret include: rent of Bolsworth and Hackett, entering of copies 112 copies. On balancing the accounts, the total due Garret is eight pounds five shillings four pence. Signed in agreement by Warden Cotterell and Garret. Personal names: John Garret, Bolsworth, Hackett, James Cotterell.
